TALAT PASHA

September 1, 1874 Kardzhali – March 15, 1921 Berlin. Mehmed Talat is an Ottoman statesman, the founding leader of the Ottoman Freedom Society and one of the founders and leading leaders of the Committee of Union and Progress. Talat Bey, who played an important role in the preparation of the 1908 revolution, was one of the most important actors who steered the politics of the Ottoman Empire between 1908-1918.

ORGANIZATION-I SPECIAL

Mobilization was declared at the beginning of the First World War. On the night of November 11, when the mobilization was announced, there was a historic meeting at the Headquarters of the Union and Progress Organization and all the members were ready. The meeting was pregnant with an important decision:

With the proposal of Enver Pasha, the foundations of the Special Organization would be laid. They will give the necessary information to our armies about the movement and number of the enemy.”

Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa is an organization that left its mark on a period with its incredible actions, even under the most difficult conditions. So much so that it is among the world's most secret organizations. It worked with the cell system and the cell houses could not be determined even today. There are various opinions about the establishment date of the Organization: Cemal Pasha mentions the activities of Special Organization in 1913 in Western Thrace in his memoirs.
