About Surah Inshirah
"Inshirah" means to open up, to expand, to rejoice. It was revealed in Makkah after Surah Duha. It has 8 (eight) verses. In this surah, it is mentioned that the heart of the Prophet was opened and purified in order to prepare it for the prophecy in his childhood. In addition, it is encouraged to give thanks to Allah by drawing attention to the conveniences in religion brought by him.
İnşirâh Suresi Bismillâhirrahmânirrahîm.
1. Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate, 2. And eased thee of the burden 3. Which weighed down thy back; 4. And exalted thy fame? 5. But lo! with hardship goeth ease, 6. Lo! with hardship goeth ease; 7. So when thou art relieved, still toil 8. And strive to please thy Lord.
